RIISS00059 Traffic Controller Skill Set for High Volume Roads on High Volume Roads

RIISS00061 Traffic Management Implementer Skill Set for High Volume Roads

The TC2 and TMI2 Combined Traffic Mangement Course is designed for individuals who want to enhance their capabilities in managing traffic in more complex, high-volume road environments, known as Temporary Traffic Management (TTM) Category 2. These environments include major urban roads, multi-lane or divided roads, and signalised intersections, typically arterial routes but exceeding freeways.

This combined training package brings together the skills of both the RIISS00059 Traffic Controller Skill Set for High Volume Roads and RIISS00061 Traffic Management Implementer Skill Set for High Volume Roads. Participants will learn how to safely manage traffic using tools such as stop-slow bats, two-way radios, and other portable equipment. Emphasis is placed on conducting risk assessments and applying appropriate safely controls in high- traffic environments. The course also covers the development and implementation of Traffic Guidance Schemes (TGS), allowing participants to effectively plan and manage traffic control for complex roadworks and construction sites. Aligned with the standards outlines by Austroads Guide to Temporary Traffic Management, the course ensures compliance with industry requirements for TTM Category 2 settings.
