What people say about us
“The feedback from our participants regarding the Certificate Ill, has been extremely positive, the trainers and support staff are very willing to make time to provide support, guidance, and advice. Students who have successfully completed their training with CFMEU have shown excellent training outcomes and possess the practical skills required to achieve job outcomes resulting from their training.”
“We recommend CFMEU to our members and workers as the training provider of choice. The facilities at the training centre are industry leading and provide the student with real-life practical experience meaning they seamlessly apply their skills in their employment.”
“During the last 6 years, it has been my pleasure to deal with the CFMEU Apprentice training unit when sourcing apprentice carpenters for our workforce.”
“I have worked in numerous positions and have been involved in the construction industry for the past 20 years. From the inception of the CFMEU: apprentice education and training unit, I have employed apprentices from the actual school and training program. Over the past 6 years I’ve employed directly about 15 apprentices and since then they have gone on to complete their time with me and currently, I have 6 apprentices directly employed from the actual unit. All the apprentices are ready for the work in the commercial construction industry and come prepared for work. The actual training and the facility of the training unit and the courses conducted prepares the apprentice in an excellent manner.”
“Throughout my 35-year career in Melbourne's construction industry I have worked with many apprentices from a range of different training providers and without doubt the most successful relationship I have had is with the CFMEU's programs. I believe that the CFMEU Education and Training Unit carries with it a level of pragmatism that most other training providers do not in relation to choosing and then educating their apprentices and I truly believe this helps in making sure that everyone is as "job ready" as they can be.”
“I’m very happy with your support and the quality of the apprentices that we’ve received from the CFMEU’s training centre over the last 5 years have been of a very high standard and have turned out to be some of our most skilled employees. All of them are still employed by civil infrastructure group and we hope to see many more.”
