This course specifies the skills and knowledge required to safely operate a personnel and materials hoist, that is, a cantilever or tower hoist or several winches configured to operate as a hoist intended to carry goods, materials or people.

CPCCLHS3001 - Licence to operate a personnel and materials hoist
Licensing/Regulatory Information
Legislative and regulatory requirements are applicable to this unit of competency.
This unit is based on the licensing requirements of Part 4.5 of the Model Work Health and Safety (WHS) Regulations and meets Commonwealth, State and Territory HRWL requirements.
The National Assessment Instrument (NAI) is the mandated assessment for the HRWL to operate the relevant licencing class as detailed in this unit.

Entry Requirements
- White Card – (CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry)
- No jewellery to be worn on hands.
- Stud earring only.
- Long hair must be tied up at all times when out on the hard stand or shed.
- Any other items deemed unsafe by the Trainer and Assessor.
What to bring to class?
- PPE – Hard hat, safety footwear and safety vest
- White Card – (CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry)
- Photo ID
